Program: Travel & Tourism Management
Associate in Specialized Business: Travel & Tourism Management

Educational Objective

    The Travel and Tourism Management Program prepares the student for the exciting travel and tourism industry. Basic business skills are integrated with travel training in areas such as Eastern and Western Hemisphere geography, and different aspects of the travel industry from cruise lines and travel agencies to corporate travel and airline operations. The student also receives training on the FOCALPOINTTM Reservations System. The student will receive real-life experience by participating in an externship experience. Graduation is acknowledged by awarding an Associate in Specialized Business degree upon satisfactory completion of the program.

Professional Duties

    A career in the Travel and Tourism Management field offers an individual a variety of occupational choices. Some general areas of responsibility for the travel professional include booking leisure and corporate travel arrangements, scheduling cruises, arranging tours, planning conferences, and promoting tourism by working in close association with local tourist and convention center offices.

    This program is represented to lead to multiple job opportunities and is not meant to lead to any particular outcome, including that specified in the program title. Although the school will assist the student with job placement, finding a job is the ultimate responsibility of the student. The school does not guarantee that any student will be placed in any particular job, or at all.
