There are 4 main colleges in the state of Alaska offering degrees in the legal field. The Alaska rule of Professional Conduct charges all those who work in the legal profession with the responsibility of ensuring justice, promoting improvements in the efficient and fair administration of justice and assisting the public in the understanding of the legal system in Alaska. Unlike most other states, Alaska has no system of county prosecutors. The Attorney General of Alaska has the responsibility of prosecuting all violations of state law, but uses the help of many dedicated state prosecuters, and legal professionals in fulfilling that job fairly and vigorously.
