If you are seeking a career in the legal profession, there are many different law colleges and legal degree programs in the United States to choose from. Degrees offered in most states include a Juris Doctor which will enable you to become a licensed attorney and to develop the widest range of career opportunities within the legal professions; an A.A.S, B.S. degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies which will prepare you for employment in the legal profession by providing you with basic legal skills and knowledge of the legal work environment and how the legal field works; and varying degrees in Criminal Justice which will give you a broad legal foundation and prepare you for careers in the areas of law enforcement, courts, corrections and security.
There are 6 colleges and universities in the state of Idaho offering degrees in the legal field. Portions of the Idaho Code for the practice of law in Idaho date back to 1881. Since then the objective of law professionals in Idaho has been to promote high standards of professional conduct as well as the advancement of and administration of justice in Idaho. In 1975 a Law foundation was founded in Idaho for the purpose of providing a public service organization on behalf of the legal profession. It is a nonprofit, charitable corporation seeking to provide and improve access to legal services as well as improve education and the administration of justice on behalf of both legal professionals and the public. All attorneys practicing law in Idaho must be licensed by the Idaho State Bar, and in turn all members of the Idaho State Bar are members of the Idaho Law Foundation. Featured Idaho Law Degrees
