All lawyers who practice in Missouri are required by the Supreme Court of Missouri to belong to the Missouri State Bar. This includes lawyers who may not be residents of Missouri but may have occasion to practice in Missouri. The Missouri State Bar was created for the purpose of aiding the lawyers of Missouri by providing them the means to best aid them in serving the public. The Missouri State Bar offers many programs and services to both its members as well as to students in the legal field as well as the public including mentoring and placement programs as well as lawyer’s assistance programs.
