If you are seeking a career in the legal profession, there are many different law colleges and legal degree programs in the United States to choose from. Degrees offered in most states include a Juris Doctor which will enable you to become a licensed attorney and to develop the widest range of career opportunities within the legal professions; an A.A.S, B.S. degree or Certificate in Paralegal Studies which will prepare you for employment in the legal profession by providing you with basic legal skills and knowledge of the legal work environment and how the legal field works; and varying degrees in Criminal Justice which will give you a broad legal foundation and prepare you for careers in the areas of law enforcement, courts, corrections and security.

 

There are seven colleges and universities in the state of Nevada offering degrees in the legal field. Legal professionals in Nevada work together in making sure that the law works for its citizens by enduring that all Nevada residents have access to the justice system and ensuring that the public is provided with the best and most knowledgeable legal assistance. To do this there is a state Lawyer Referral and Information service that assists the public in finding attorneys and educates them on a variety of legal topics such as estate planning and divorce.  The state of Nevada also offers legal professional in that state continuing legal education courses in a wide range of areas to keep legal professionals up to date. Like many other states, the Nevada State Bar encourages and oversees a variety of pro bono or public service activities through it s cooperative relationship in the community and with state pro bono organizations.
