(It becomes easy in this field to dazzle people at cocktail parties). “Networking is getting too complex for any one individual to understand it all,” said Chris Berriman, a education product marketing manager at Cisco, which is one of the primary companies in the network field. Berriman told Computerworld that workers should specialize, and then collaborate with others on integration projects.
"There is a growing demand for people who have a credential in a given set of products from a particular vendor or in a particular technology," Berriman says. "The credential tells people you really know what you are doing in a given area."
