Chat 101 contains the basics of chat, from the translation of chatspeak (moof, scrolling), abbreviations & acronyms (lol, brb), and emoticons, to the etiquette that will help "newbies" get comfortable in this new world, be a welcome guest in the chatrooms, and, most importantly, get you more involved with the fun! There's even a new section on MSN chat - including the special graphics (emoticons) used in their chats!

If you would like to reserve a nick name to use each time you visit our chat rooms, use the following command on the command line:
/nickserv (pw) (email)
pw is the password you want to use and email is your current email address. You only need to do this once.

To get control of your nickname when you enter the chatroom, use the command listed below:
/nickserv identify (pw)
pw is your password.

Once you have logged into the Chat Rooms, you can click on the Rooms button to move to other chat rooms on the hosting4u server by clicking on the "Rooms" button at the top of the chat window.
